    Default 1/8" Collet for Milwaukee

I am looking for an 1/8" Collet for my 3hp Milwaukee Router. I do not want to use a bushing . Does anyone have an aftermarket source? ....Ken

Depends on what you’re chucking up and how fast you’re turning it…………

I had an old cordless drill that was headed for the garbage (I salvage anything I can and there was no power cord to cut off and keep.). I tore into it and the keyless chuck had a 1/2” shaft that went into the bearings, perfect fit into my 1/2” cullet on the PC router. I only use it for drilling holes and never turn it faster than the lowest speed on the router but I can chuck up drill bits from .032 to 3/8”.

May I ask; why don't you want to use a bushing?

On the main shopbot website Brady's bits and pieces.. his last entry is about a 1/8" chuck. Given his recommendation, and my need for one, I bought one also and it has worked marvelously. Now I use 1/8 bits just as easily as 1/4 and 1/2.

I suggest you give it a try-

The MCLS bushings don't work, but the Spellman bushings do, and are very inexpensive:

You can buy a set or individual bushings:
    1/2" OD x 3/4" Long
    1/16

Forgot to mention that they are also available in letter (A-Z), number (1-60) and metric sizes!

Hi Kevin: Thanks for the link ..Those bushings are an entirely different animal than the MCLS. They look like they would work well....Ken
